SURREY FRINGE CHORUS
Surrey Fringe Chorus is a male vocal group that performs a range of acapella music, including classic barbershop, pop and show tunes!
We are one of the first barbershop clubs to be formed in the UK. and have been running for nearly 40 years. We teach people to sing, we perform at public and private functions across the country as a chorus and in quartets, and we participate in local music festivals. We have also competed at several BABS conventions.
The chorus is about thirty strong, but we always welcome new members, so if you are thinking of joining a chorus or like the idea of singing in a quartet, do try our very successful "Come and Sing" 7 week course or just pop along to a rehearsal session.
We meet on Tuesday evenings in Guildford, 7:45 – 10:00. Our main focus here is singing for enjoyment and positive vibes, although we also work on improving our techniques under the leadership of our chorus director, section leaders and a number of guest educators.
We are highly sociable and fun chorus, and you'll always find us in the pub after rehearsal!
